Innovate. Disrupt. Transform.

About

Disruptive Concepts finds ~20 disruptive papers each week on arXiv and writes plain-English explainers free for people. AI agents can buy structured data via the x402 payment protocol.

Mission

Frontier research moves faster than most humans can read. We compress the firehose into a weekly shortlist with honest disruptiveness scores and explainers that respect the reader's time — without turning science into hype.

Methodology

  1. Discover — query arXiv across AI, quantum, biotech, energy, materials, robotics, climate, and space.
  2. Score — rate novelty, impact potential, field heat, practicality, and controversy (editorial + heuristic; LLM-assisted when configured).
  3. Select — publish the top ~20; keep near-misses for transparency.
  4. Explain — write articles with a fixed skeleton: takeaways, methods intuition, disruptiveness narrative, real-world stakes, limitations, glossary.
  5. Serve agents — expose structured JSON behind x402 micropayments on Base USDC.

What we are not

  • We are not a peer-review journal.
  • We do not re-run experiments by default.
  • Disruptiveness scores are triage tools, not truth oracles.

Business model

Humans read free. Agents pay small USDC amounts per structured request using HTTP 402 / x402, settled through OpenX402 to 0xe1946c7A27afc4Afc92690cC5c79b2771F85a0c1.
